About Setúbal

Setúbal is well known for its industrial fishing, resulting in lovely restaurants where your choice of seafood is grilled outside of the restaurant. It is very relaxing sitting on a cozy restaurant when the night falls, enjoying fresh seafood and why not try a glass of locally brewed beer or local wine. In Setúbal you can also find a vibrant night life, there is an amazing and exciting market hall, and it is not far to one of the most gorgeous beaches in the whole Lisbon area.
Setúbal is perfect for you who is interested in exploring the small details that makes Portugal as a country special but also to have the possibility to enjoy wonderful beaches and other activities. The apartment is located in the very central of Setúbal, just by the main road where you find the many seafood restaurants. Down town Setúbal is very beautiful with its old buildings, here you can find an outdoor shopping center. There is a large castle where you can go for a coffee while enjoying the view over the city and Tróia. A long esplanade along the water is another way of enjoying the city.

There are several beach options, one city beach with walking distance from the apartment. In order to get to the really magnificent beaches at the nature reserve Arrábida take the bus or car for 10 minutes or boat to the peninsula Tróia where the beaches are kilometer after kilometer of divine sand and water. Enjoy kite surfing or play golf. In Arrábida you can also experience dolphin watching and hiking.
