Very nice sunny apartment with a balcony with wiev of Atlantic Ocean. It is located in a picturesque historical center street of the city, just in front of a nice Fort which is both home for the Madeira “Contemporâneo” Art Museum and for a very nice “contemporâneo” food restaurant.
It’s the top floor of an two floor restored cottage and has two bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with one single. Living room with sofa bed for two, TV (no cable), a dining table for 4 or 6 persons and the balcony turned to the see with furniture. kitchen fully equipped plus toaster (no microwave). Bathroom with tub. Other equipment: washing machine, hair dryer.

About the area
Madeira has a pleasant climate all year round, fantastic green tropical landscapes and friendly people. There is a small island with a surprisingly wide range. Funchal is the capital and lies on the main island of Madeira, the island where tradition meets the present. The apartment is situated in Funchal's historic center, which is a very nice area surrounded by restaurants, shops, museums and walking distance from the modern part of town that has shops, services and cultural events.Santa Maria street, where the apartment is placed is one of few streets that retained its original inhabitants, here you can experience the real life of Madeira! A beach is just around the corner, where the fishermen also have their fishing boats. Madeira is served by a modern road and bus networks where Funchal is a very logical starting point for discovering the island's stunning landscapes and forests "Lauri Silva" forest is a subtropical forest which is classified by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage. Around the coast of Madeira, there are very nice beaches and swimming pools. There are cable cars that provide a stunning view over the island and also leads to the highest point on the island.
