We stayed 14 days and are very satisfired. We wore 11 people frpm the age of 7 to 70. The garden is the best lace. A lovely place we used all day. Galé is a beautiful quite place with several good places to eat. We recommend The Crurry Club (Indian). It takes like 12 min to walk. The beach is fantastic and you should try the restaurant (wich name I forgot) who is in the end of the road a blue building. It is easier to take taxi then the bus. We are going back someday

At the end of the 28 tram line (look it up, it's a nice view). We stayed for 5 nights, had no real plan on arrival. Our hosts left us with plenty of material to get on with and we went exploring. nice area, it's a bit quiet, but after a long day traipsing around the city it was nice to have somewhere quiet to go home to

Our first time in Portugal, first self-catering holiday too so not sure what to expect, but we had a fabulous stay. The apartment had everything we needed and more, fully equipped and plenty of room. It was situated 5 mins or so from the train and bus station making travelling easy, unfortunately we hired a car for the week and only used to travel from the airport and back - definitely won't bother next time! A walk to the beach or the local shopping mall was 10-15 mins although it was a little hilly at times and the pavements are very cobbled. For late November the weather in the day was pleasantly warm 18-23 degrees but the evenings could be chilly! We will definitely be returning 👍🏻👍🏻😎

The house is safe and the location very good. Supermarket, the sea and the beach and good restaurants close to this flat. Easy to travel to Lissabon and good public transport connections. It could be better if there were a balcony. But for us not necessary because we like to be outdoors and we like to walk very much in fresh air.

Hi Sofie! We spent a lovely holiday in the apartment in Olhao. We have been at home in Varberg for a week and begin to get used to Sweden again. Unfortunately we had some bad luck with the weather the first one and a half weeks, but last week it was nice. It blew ochvar quite cold the first time, but it was anyway good to walk into town and along the beach. The apartment was very nice and well suited to our needs, so it was nice to be able to retreat to the flat when the wind came around the corner.
Olhão is a really nice town, without too many tourists, with many small nice restaurants and cafes and it was wonderful to walk around and look at all the nice little housees and Portuguese who did not seem overly concerned by the few tourists who wandered around. We took a boat trip to one of the islands, but the weather was not suitable for swimming or sunbathing, so had to wait for another time.
We are now waiting for spring and summer in Sweden, but we are very keen on the apartment in Oeiras, so we'll see if we hear back from us forward to the autumn!
Take care and thank you for this time!

We rented this place for a whole month (March) this year and we had a great time there. The apartment was well equipped and the sea view was great. You could see big ships, ferries and hundreds of small fishing boats with fishermen going on fishing for hours until they went to the harbour. Why didn´t I bring my telescope? There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and we went to some of them for lunch and we tried the fish menu and we really liked it. Most of all, however, we made lunch and dinner ourselves. Nearby was the market hall and a very well-assorted food supermarket and compared with Sweden it was cheaper to buy food here. We liked this town very much and visited the old town many times (5 minutes walking away) walking around the narrow lanes with small shops, shopping sometimes but almost always we were sitting down at an open-air café enjoying a bica or a glass of wine, when the weather was acceptable. For us from Sweden the weather was good, average 15 - 17 degrees, 2 rainy days, partly sunshine most of the days. One of the best things with staying in Setúbal is good communications with bus or train wherever you want to go. We went here by air to Lisbon and didn´t rent a car but have not had any difficulties with travelling around here. You can reach Lisbon in an hour with train or bus and like us go to interesting places like Sesimbra and azeitão by bus and to the old world heritage town Sintra by train, not expensive at all. We can recommend this apartment and this town if you want to go to central Portugal to examine this area but not like to stay in Lisbon. If you arrive by air to Lisbon in the evening we recommend you to book a taxi in advance through the owner. This stay in Portugal is for us the second one booked through Sofie Broström and we have again been very satisfied with everything.

Hello Sophie, Thanks for your email and for the nice apartment!
All the girls in the gang is striking agreed that it was almost the best trip we've done together. Of course, it was due to many things.
The weather was fine, a little windy the first day but the sun which allowed less clothes than at home and lunches outdoors. Really lovely on some days so that our cheeks got a little sunburn addition.
The apartment was perfect in size for us 7. Standard okay, fine standard to be down in Europe, I would think.
Kitchen exactly what you need, large dining table in the living room where we gathered at our lovely breakfasts and late wine evenings :) sized refrigerator, coffee maker, dishwasher, etc. (washer G, stood as ff was packed) apartment is liteotillgängligt for those with prams, disability etc. First, the apartment is the high, high above the city. Moreover, it is in the house a narrow, steep staircase up to the apartment and a pain if you have much luggage, etc. For us it was no problem.
We were welcomed by Nuno when we arrived, he had lit tea lights in the stairs up and the apartment, there was a bottle of port wine was chilled and ready. Very nice gesture! Location of the apartment was perfect for us! Close down to town yet so that man came from liksom.Fantastisk views of the town from two bedrooms and living room. It is also close to a large and well Supermercado + the fine castle and quaint streets around there.
Nuno Catarina and was very nice. You could ask them anything and they helped us to book a taxi SMB again and so on.
A disadvantage may well be that there is only one shower in the apartment if one is to "complain" the NGT. Would have been good with 2 showers when the apartment can accommodate 8 persons. A little chilly indoors, as you mentioned when I talked to you before your trip. There was therefore a little extra element ditställda, both gas and electric radiators.
The city was amazing! Right size and just enough to see. We all thought the shopping was good and very affordable. The food there as well. A good bottle of red wine on the residual of about 150-200: -, the price point is not even at home. But just in time to see the mean jagatt it became NGN stress that you would have time to see everything, museums, statues and everything like that. It was a perfect city for us when we really wanted to hang out. Several times we were offered hashish down the main street. As proper "family mothers" the value NGT we just laughed. And we laughed the entire trip, lovely! I like to go back to Lisbon!
The taxi ride was very nice to have booked from home. However, it was not cheap if you compared with what it cost to "own". Not even 10 EUR took the easy route. But for us it was perfect, all in a car, run up to the door, etc. Did any of you Arfa pers o to pay 400: -.
Hope you can use the SMB of the info. If you want to ask smth more, just get in touch. Have a nice and thanks for the nice arrangement again! We were / are so happy with our trip! (~Google)

Our flat was on the 2nd floor at Largo do Corpo Santo 6. We were met by the owner Susana, who very kindly showed us around the apartment and even walked us to the corner restaurant and nearby grocery store.

The apartment was very clean, neat, and comfortable. It was also attractive and had every amenity we could have needed. It was only a block from the river and next to a park that is being developed. It was very convenient to the metro station, Cais do Sodre, and we made good use of it. We could walk to the main city square, Rua do Comercio, and to Chiado.

We also had occasion to call on Susana for help in negotiating around the general strike that took place. She was always most helpful and accommodating.
We had a wonderful 10 days in Lisboa.
Warmly,

Hello Sophie, just want to thank you for providing such practical furnished and well located apartment in Graca. Close to everything you need, fresh bread for a few bucks, new shoes if it rains (which it actually did), well sorted supermarkets and a quiet leafy park with doves drinking from a graceful fountain, where you can sit and philosophize. Not to mention the nearby outdoor café at the lookout point, where one of Graça hill can see across Lisbon and the mighty river Tejo and into the Atlantic.
Everything worked perfectly with Sara's handover. The orderly apartment felt like home, despite the rainy weather outside, and you could calmly contented enjoy the fish from the market and wine from Pinge Doce. If you didn't have energy to go out at night fado evening forward bend, you could always listen to Radio Amalia in the shower radio. We'd love to return.

The flat is located at one of the best locations in Lisboa where you live with the locals but still nearby everything. Do not miss the viewpoint - Miradouro da Graca where you can have a beer or coffee and look at the amazing view. The flat is both stylish and homely. We experienced that everything was of high quality in the flat and it was very quiet inside. Moreover, it was clean and fresh. It was equipped with everything we needed. Instead of eating out every night, we bought food and cooked by ourself. We enjoyed the apartment so much! This was the second time I rented by Sofie and it has always been easy to arrive and get settled in here flats. She is so helpful and service-minded with everything both before and under the journey.

(Sofie's note: could not resist to add up all this long story from guests who celebrated both Christmas and New Year Setubal!)
Bom dia! Yes, now we are home again after a very intense, wonderful, interesting, lively, fun, totally incomparable trip!
We had it really good. The apartment was super. Gloria and Rui met us at the entrance and it felt like Mom and Dad were waiting for us.
They helped us with the luggage and explained everything of importance and they had even bought a "Bolo Rei" and a bottle of port wine for us. We felt really welcome, even though the clock had turned after 24. Poor those who had to travel a long distance home at night.
The view from the apartment is really magnificent. We ate breakfast in the kitchen with his eyes on the Sado and the messy life below. In the evenings, it was certainly the right lively with the music and irritating jinglet from the fairgrounds, and untued with it, the music from the ice rink next door. But ... we had music with us, and on played it louder, if we at all were at home. The music stopped at midnight like that, and then continued the sirens from the nearby rescue station ... but it's a partial everyday life and frankly, we think it belongs.
Tourist office diagonally opposite is very service oriented, because when we asked for dolphin watching helped the nice girl with us to convey an excursion. However, it was no ordinary tourist safari without the owner of a giant catamaran was out with his kompisaroch stock of dolphins so she called us and asked if we'd like to come along, and on Christmas Eve. During the 5-hour journey, we learned everything and more about dolphins and Setubal and Portugal and, and, and. What nice people. We saw several gang of young and old dolphins and it was quite outrageously wonderful. - Must mention that we had the most wonderful weather you can wish for the season. Just sun and heat (well, locals froze and was packed as småjulklappar and after a while we did the same. Did not bother to switch to lighter clothing, but in winter jacket and boots ....)
If the table on the boat were even told that Thursdays were the Fado evening at one of the city a little different restaurants Passo Olivial and so we went there and enjoyed Fado in full. Though before we had met Celina and Alex to a very yummy dinner at ennärliggande pizzeria restaurant. As I already wrote to Celina, it felt as if we were already old friends. It was a pretty nasty funny feeling ...... And so they came even to the Fado evening and Celina sang two songs. What a voice. And not nogmed it so they invited us to celebrate nyårsaftom together with them in one place in Lisbon (Sou). A kind of cultural center.
The road there was a slight adventure because our map showed minor roads, so we parked the car in a parking garage on Avenida da Liberte, because the city was chock full with people and cars to celebrate the New Year. When we had wandered around for a while we went simply into a hotel and asked for help and the nice girl advised us to continue per pedes but called a taxi for us. The driver was in less good mood and with the help of his GPS, which apparently was not reliable, he drove like a car thief wildly swearing to the vicinity of the desired address. To ride the tram 28 was nothing compared to this little trip.
Celina played basically all night and the people danced and we danced and sang and met really nice people and ate and celebrated. But since we are no longer some youths came the time when we thought about how we would take us back to our bil.Medhjälp of all those helpful people we eventually got hold of a taxi that drove us in a somewhat slower pace back to the parking garage . Kl. 3 at night and throughout the Avenida teemed with people. I think I have never seen so many people so late at night on ettställe.
Oh, and during the first week, when we were out and rekogniserade the closer surroundings of Setubal, we went to Sesimbra and on to Capa Estoril. There was someone who managed, during the short time that we admired the amazing view, breaking up bilenoch steal both my bag and Kjell backpack out of the trunk. 100 m further along the road we found both the bag and backpack, but my cell phone and my money, and a bank card was gone. Everything else, such as driver's license and key to the apartment was left. Great relief. We were making about 3 hours at the police station in närmastbelägna Alfarim. There was a party in the village and while I tried to stop my phone and my debit card over the phone was the big fireworks outside. GNRs computer was extremely slow, hence the long wait. But they offered coffee and a lot of interesting information, so we did not think it was the right time consuming. The car left the same evening we returned to the rental at Lisbon airport and got to experience both bridges pånatten.
You know, would not it be fun to get together sometime, when you and Sergio have time? Then you simply with the children to us for refreshments or so and then continue our story of the journey .....
Hope you had a good Christmas and the new year has proved its best side.
hug from two grateful travelers

Hi Sofie! Now we are back home after a fantastic week in Portugal. A country that we had the privilege to visit for the first time. Olhão was the perfect place for us, we wanted to see a bit of the real Portugal.
We experienced lots. The first days we went on foot to discover the old Olhão, market halls, the palm trees, ice creams, restaurants and genuine islands outside was a perfect start. The warm breeze and hot sand was lovely, but the slightly cold water gave us a challenge. Even timid bather Per-Arne enjoyed to the full. Then we rented a car at the airport, for 3 days and visited towns like Tavira, Santa Catarina, Loulé and Quarteira. Got stuck in Praia Almargem where the water was warmer and the guys got their life's experience - driving the Jet Ski.
Many thanks for your great dedication and great service. We are so happy. Everything worked out as planned. The apartment was good for real. The welcoming greeting from Paula and her son warmed. Coffee, milk, biscuits, honey and melon - were small things we appreciated. Clean, fresh and very well equipped apartment exceeded our expectations.
Storks was a fun experience and we tried to find out how the stork family belonged together. We have read in one of your guest comments to the train that runs right next door was disturbing. They do not go in the evenings and nights, so it was no problem for us, but the neighborhood dogs could not foresee. They have their own language and talk to each other frequently.
After a recommendation from the English-speaking lady in our shop (see below), we visited Restaurante O'bote on Avenida 5 de Outubro, which was a very positive experience with both fish and meat on our plates. Affordable.
We found an old Supermercado, just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The family spoke English and Portuguese. Very friendly and service minded.
We'd love to come back to Olhão or visit any of your other places in Portugal.

Sophie Hi! We had a least different holiday ... We started to check in a day early, did not think you could get dizzy with it was clear that it did. Susanna was a little stressed out easily but arranged everything for us when it was free :)
Susanna was absolutely wonderful, the lovely girl !!! She took care of us after all the rules and put the finishing touch on everything. The house was beyond expectation, utsustat with just about everything, even dry goods, coffee, coffee filters, tea, drinking chocolate to the children, I can continue indefinitely ... Apparently even the village was a surprise when we missed that it was so steep and no direct surfaces for children to play on ... it was almost a heart attack every time we went out because of it. Had we known this before so hadevi expected with this destination when our children are so small. Otherwise, everything else was above expectations. (~Google)

Sophie Hi! Now we are back home after more than two wonderful weeks in Portugal. I just want you to know that we have had a great holiday and amazing accommodations. The apartment in Setubal corresponded perfectly our expectations and we enjoyed the various beaches in rock coves, and Troia. We went on the dolphin hunt (but saw no dolphins) and visited vineyards and also managed by 2 days in Lisbon. We ate all lunches and dinners there and enjoyed the good food. Restaurant Antony, a short distance from the apartment, became our favoritoch for five nights where we tried everything: meat, fish, seafood, local specialties and basically all the desserts and were always happy and satisfied after the end of the meal.
But the most fantatsiska was still Casal Novo and the house there! What charm, what house, what province, and what a great service and food that Susana arranged for us! The kids (2 boys, 12 to 14 years old) would hardly lämnabyn at all times. The breakfasts were huge and very good, Susan's homemade cakes made us all gain weight and the kids loved to dive into the river from the rocks. We wandered lead in the mountains, visiting small villages and also had time for a visit to a Coimbraoch in Porto. The whole family agreed that this was one of our best holidays in a long time !!! Will of course recommend your website to all our friends. (~Google)

Our stay in Portugal was very successful. Much thanks to the combination of own guide good accommodation and good weather. The combo as we argued our way to work with you was a big shot:
A few days in Sol da Graca apartment in the middle of the coziest part of Lisbon, we think anyway, and based on that we had time to see, followed by a stay in Oeiras in your nice apartment, near the beach and Cascais (car).
Add to this the perfect arrangement you testified along with Marie, yes there is nothing to complain about.

Hi Sofie! I'm approaching the end of my stay in Lisboa. It has been wonderful and the apartment has worked very well. Location is just fantastic for my purposes, to listen to Fado. But apart from this, the location is also good for those who want to do other things. Tram 28 goes around the corner, there is a taxi station a few hundred meters away and there are ATMs and all the shops you could need nearby. Plus the environment is typical for Lisbon I love. If I'm going to move here, it will be Graça I choose to stay in. The apartment also works great with the washing machine and dishwasher and everything else. And it's fresh and clean in every way. So it was very successful that I chose to stay here.

Portugal ingeneral and specially Setubal was the city we got to know the best, and turned out to be the perfect destination for our family. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Getting up with local transport including trains to Lisbon and the metro was easyer than we thought. Elevators, escalators and trolley ramps are almost everywhere! However, it was lucky that we took your advice about taking the two small trolleys instead of a big one!
The apartment was great. So good that they had fixed beds for babies! It was really great location of the apartment as well. Super near to both the supermarket and the lovely market where we bought lots of fruit and cheese. If you are not vegetarians there is a incredible selection of restaurants with mainly seafood!
We cooked almost all the food at home, which worked well for us.

We have walked on the beach, swimming with the surfers in the giant waves, been in Lisbon and wandered around, taking a beer in Cascais, etc ...
I have also been trying to book a appointment at the doctor... but there were no medical time left. But luckily we found about Clinica Europa in your folders, so I had treatment in the end.
We have used the coffe machine, and we have run a wash.

Villa Crisóstomo has a wonderful atmosphere, that you feel as fast as you cross the doorstep! Sometimes our daughter played the piano on the top floor and then the atmosphere was enhanced even more, it became such a calming atmosphere throughout the house. For a couple of evenings, we lighted the fireplace in the living room. It was so cozy! Another night we grilled on the garden outside. We cost ourselves a lot of good food! Despite the high euro rate, we received a lot of food and drink for the money! An advantage of staying far from the tourist areas! After lovely days, we slept like children at night. Dark (thanks to the shutters), quiet and cool = "good sleep!" The beds were beautiful! Also one reason we slept so well!

The villa was large, modern and comfortable with vines and lemon trees around the corner. An excellent alternative for families who do not need big city next to the corner but still not too far away.

OeirasMore info

Hi Sophie and Sergio,
We're back to cold and wet Norway, and the first working day is done. We long already after returning to Portugal and Oeiras. Oeiras is the perfect vacation spot for oss. We, especially the parents, are allergic to industrial tourism, so the absence souvenir shops, shopping streets, hotels and specially designed restaurants made appriciate Oeiras very much. With train we could quickly and cheaply travel to Estoril / Cascais or Lisbon.
Close to the coast's finest beach and low prices on food and drinks at the local restaurants. We value that high. We had no need to see tourist attractions, so we took a tour around the Castelo S. Jorge and Bairro Alto. Next time it might be a trip to Cabo da Roca, Sintra or a trip over on the other side of Rio Tejo. We had not understood that the apartment had a balcony, so this was a positive surprise for us. We ate all meals there.
Pourtugisernes quiet, friendly and courteous conduct also helped make this a great week for us.
PS Fado music is probably not a hit with us, but Sergio's CD has been in the CD player since we came home and reminds us of Oeiras and Portugal.

So here in January when darkness dominates it is wonderful to think back over the weeks in Vimeiro in September. Morning mist before the sun emerges, the mile-long walks amidst nature among vineyards and pumpkin fields, the smell and the noise from atlanten.Det feels good to be able to produce figs from Mafra, almonds, walnuts and fikonmarmeladen from the market in Lourinha and dream back. The house was how lovely any time to stay in and the kitchen is a dream for those who like to cook the produktersom available in the surrounding area.
Sofie, Sergio and his parents are kind and generous people that makes you feel more like a guest of the family than as a tourist. We rented a car one week and two weeks we lived without a car and walked and rode the bus around the surrounding area and Torres Vedras and Lisbon, of course. (~Google)

Hello Sofie, We want to thank you for a really nice stay in your apartment in Oeiras for a week in late February.
We felt quickly at home in the apartment, which had all the equipment you could wish for. The breakfast in the sun on the balcony with a glimpse of the sea beyond the rooftops was a treat! We were fortunate to enjoy the sunshine and blue skies all week with about 18 degrees middle of the day.
We have been enjoying long beach walks, listening to the waves roaring and watched all the green, lemon trees and flowers of all colors. Location was the best imaginable with five minutes down the beach or a short walk to the station, where we took the train to Lisbon or in the opposite direction to Cascais. The train ride was an experience itself as it went along the sparkling sea. We covered a lot of attractions in Lisbon - a very charming town - good food, wine, fado music and more. We were also lucky enough to experience a traditional carnival in a small mountain village. It was a memorable week with many great experiences in your luggage!

July 2007 we spent a wonderfully relaxing week in your nice country house. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere sitting in the courtyard or on the patio that offered expansive views. We adults appreciated to live in the countryside with walking distance to the small village as much as young people appreciated the beach life and nightlife which was a short drive. The house and location contributed much to our enjoyment, but the greatest impact was the Portuguese friendliness.
We have not discussed "if" we should return but "when" we will go back.

We liked it very much and it was fun to get to an area where there were not so many tourists. However, there was little rough areas nearby that we were a bit worried about at the beginning. But there was nothing that we had problems when we had learned to know the place.
The beaches on the islands where very nice and the water is crystal clear. Furthermore, it was just right with people and there was access to good and affordable restaurants.

Hello Sofie, Thanks to your fine apartment Oerias, our holiday in Portugal was very nice.
We think the apartment was much bigger and nicer in person than it is presented on your renting website.
There is ample room for a family with two teenage children and the veranda is nice both mornings and evenings.
The only thing we missed was some more mirrors so that not everything had to happen in the bathroom.
We appreciated that there were some basic goods in the house such as salt, sugar, oil etc ...
The apartment location is ideal for swimming, shopping and sightseeing.
We appreciated that we could go to the beach and a number of good restaurants without having to use the car.
The beach walk was great and many of the restaurants was excellent for us.
We rented a car and parking conditions outside the apartment was very good. Always place.
It was easy to find both Lisbon and surf beaches west of Cascais.
The sea is violent and cold, so it took a few days before we got used to the Norwegian water temperatures and the big waves, but the youngsters thought it was exciting and also tried body surfing at the surf beach of Guincho.
We experienced Oeiras as a resort without other tourists than Portuguese people.
It's fun being on tour without seeing so many other Scandinavians. When one feels a little exclusive.
Portugal remains a fairly inexpensive country compared to Italy and France.
Thanks for all your descriptions and Travel, Sofie.
We used most of your suggestions and had a great holiday.

Villa CrisóstomoMore info

Hi Sofie, we are now back home after a lovely week in Portugal. Everything has worked extraordinarily. The accommodation was great in this magnificent villa, where nothing was missing. Everything was well planned and with detailed suggestions on excursions. In addition to this we got a good support from the amazing charming Rosario. She really deserves a big thank you.
We had time to visit Obidos, Sintra, Peniche, Lisbon, Cabo da Roca and others. We also visited a number of wineries, among other things Quinta da Margem D'arada, Quinta Do Monted'oiro, Quinta da Boavista, Qunita do Pinto. In all the places we were terrific well received and got a very good understanding of Portuguese wine. On Rosario's advice, we ended the week at the restaurant O Pao Saloio in Toledo, where we tried Bacalhau com batatas a Murro. For Rosario disappointment this not as a culinary treat, but we had insanely nice!!! Many thanks from six completely satisfied "old men".

A3 ressurs from Norway had a "team building" in October 2007 and had a good time in the homes where we lived, had its courses and starting point for daily excursions, including wine tasting. Many wanted to come back to Portugal shortly after. Vi had excellent relations with this group and it felt very different and special to have a "team building" in this way. We even had a closed party with a crash course in Portuguese cuisine, held in the villas, were organized with good results!

OlhãoMore info

Hi Sofie! Just returned from a wonderful winter week in Portugal. The apartment in Olhão was super in every way. Large, fresh, and with all the amenities one could wish for. Your service before and after the trip has been beyond expectations - and we are really super satisfied.
The city of Olhão was also an experience, calm, cozy and without tourists. It was also a good starting point and close to the airport because the purpose of our trip was to drive round the Algarve coast.
A great week that felt very long, and that gave us the rest we needed. We will definitely return to you at the next Portugal holidays.
